Pearl Yachts Owner, Margaret Whitaker OBE emotionally explained, “To see our efforts manifest over two and a half decades has put the whole Pearl family in the mood to celebrate. I couldn’t be prouder of the team, not just for where we stand today, but also when I think back over the years. We faced challenges, defied the odds, and carved out a new enclave in the yachting sector, which I can confidently compare to any brand on the market today. There’s no feeling like the creeping sense that what we have built is here to stay, that this dream isn’t going to end – and it’s because we dreamed it together.”

The development and growth of Pearl took off with world-renowned Bill Dixon as naval architect and Kelly Hoppen CBE as the interior designer exclusive to Pearl. In fact, Pearl has pushed the boundaries of design from the beginning by finding creative ways to offer a unique combination of features in every model. The advantages of the brands exclusive design team became clear, pushing Pearl into direct competition with the largest producers of flybridges in the world and earning a flurry of awards across various categories at the same time. While the shipyard maintains its commitment to fully designing and producing each model as a boutique, the range has steadily shifted upwards toward larger dimensions. The growing recognition of the latest generation has awakened curiosity about whether Pearl will break through 100 feet, applying the brand’s transformative design philosophy deep into the superyacht market.

Commenting on the important milestone, Pearl Yachts Managing Director Iain Smallridge said, “Pearl’s 25th Anniversary has come along at an important time in our history. There’s so much movement, and we keep taking risks, seeing results. The latest generation of Pearls is having such an impact because of the path we’ve taken to this point, and this event was the perfect opportunity to get together and show our appreciation, remember the past, and talk about the future.

The Pearl range at Rendez Vous

Pearl 62. Compact, complete, and competitive

Pearl 72. Layout leader

In terms of layout, the new Pearl 72 makes a unique introduction to the size-class: two Master Cabins. One is forward with a private entrance, as typically seen on much larger yachts, and the second is full beam amidships. In addition to providing an ideal solution for co-owners who enjoy the yacht together, the innovative layout allows owners to enjoy a beautiful view even when moored stern-to in a marina. There are two further en-suite double cabins plus accommodation for the crew, in addition to an exceptional garage with space for a William 345 tender (or similar) and a jet ski.

Pearl 95. Smart at scale

She has proven to be an award-winning combination of performance, style, and quality, taking the title of ‘Best Layout’ at the World Yachts Trophies. PEARL YACHTS APPOINTS ROSS DONOHOE  AS INTERNATIONAL SALES MANAGER

February 2023

Pearl Yachts announces Ross Donohoe’s appointment as International Sales Manager, Ross brings a wealth of experience from more than two decades in the industry.

Fresh from a busy boot Düsseldorf, where the brand held a European premiere for the Pearl 72 and announced the new Pearl 82 project, British boatbuilder Pearl Yachts is welcoming a new International Sales Manager, Ross Donohoe, as the latest addition to their growing team. Following a foundational education and career in Marine Engineering, Ross’s flair for sales shone through and he began to make a name for himself in the yachting industry as a Technical Sales Executive. In his new role with Pearl, he will work out of the Pearl Sales Office in Swanwick, which opened last Summer.

Pearl Yachts Managing Director Iain Smallridge said “We are delighted to welcome Ross to the Pearl team, his knowledge and experience will help to increase sales as well as support and further strengthen the Pearl dealer network.”

Ross Donohoe, Pearl’s new International Sales Manager, said, “I feel absolutely privileged to be starting this next chapter in my career representing Pearl Yachts, a brand that is going from strength to strength, leading innovation and yacht designs. Spending an entire lifetime devoted to boats and the marine industry, it has always been clear to me as a young apprentice Marine Engineer that if you do something you love, and you’ll never do a day’s work in your life. Boats have always been an utter passion for me and love that has never dwindled.”

PEARL 72 STEALS THE SHOW AT BOOT DÜSSELDORF, AHEAD OF VICTORY AT MOTOR BOAT AWARDS 2023

January 2023

  • Pearl Yachts has won the Judges’ Special Award at the Motor Boat Awards, hosted by Motor Boat & Yachting.
  • Pearl Yachts debuted the new Pearl 72 at boot Düsseldorf 2023. Guests were impressed by the onboard spaces, featuring four en-suite staterooms including two master cabins plus crew accommodation and a garage for both a tender and jet ski.

British boutique boatbuilder Pearl Yachts has been announced as the winner of the “Judges’ Special Award at the recent Motor Boat Awards, by the editorial team at UK monthly magazine Motor Boat & Yachting (MBY). The awards can be viewed in their entirety at www.mby.com/mby-motor-boat-awards. The announcement of the Judges’ Special Award follows. “This award goes to a person, a group of people or a company that the judges feel deserves special recognition, either for an exceptional one-off achievement or a whole lifetime of dedication. Today’s winner falls somewhere between the two having consistently punched above its weight in a highly competitive market for almost 25 years.”

“From its humble beginnings in 1998 when a former yacht captain teamed up with a local businessman to launch a stylish new range of spacious aft cabin craft, this ambitious company has never shied away from doing things differently. In the face of vastly bigger, better known, more well-resourced competition, it has managed to defy the odds, building spacious, cleverly packaged craft with the style and quality to match.”

“While many of its better-known competitors have been bought, sold or even fallen by the wayside over the years, its founder lain Smallridge and owners Tony and Margaret Whittaker have safely steered tonight’s winner through the rough times, continually investing in new products. Bringing in world class designers like Bill Dixon and Kelly Hoppen have helped to keep its offerings as fresh and innovative as ever. Now in its 25th year and with a range of world class yachts from 62’ to 95’, including a brand new 72-footer being shown here in Dusseldorf for the first time. The winners of our Judges’ Special Award 2023 is Pearl Yachts.”

Pearl Yachts is simultaneously celebrating the overwhelmingly positive reception of its latest model’s European debut at the prestigious boat show boot Dusseldorf 2023. The German nautical industry event was the second introduction of the Pearl 72, building on the success of her recent world premiere in Fort Lauderdale.

As soon as the sales team began their first tours of the show, it became clear that the Pearl 72 offered a unique combination of features, achieved through clever layout design by Dixon Yacht Design. The new model makes the most out of the space available to include two master suites in a 4 en-suite stateroom layout, plus crew cabin for 2, and a garage to accommodate a William 345 tender (or similar) and jet ski. Also appreciated was exclusive interior designer Kelly Hoppen CBE’s new style package, “Indulgence”, which joins “Luxury” and “Modern” to offer an elaborated selection of dressings for the yacht.

“Recognition from a body with the prestige of the Motor Boat Awards is a landmark for any brand in the yachting industry, but for us to be standing here, having won the Judges’ Award after 25 years of hard work is a great achievement.” said Pearl Yachts Managing Director Iain Smallridge. “We count ourselves among the profoundly fortunate because we work in an industry that we love, doing a job we love, for a company we love. None of which would have been possible without the support of with our incredible team. For this award and so much else, we must thank our Production Director, Paul Hannah, who has been fundamental in the development of the product for more than 20 years. Cenk Efe of Mallorca Marine Group who has been our longest serving dealer and long term friend, our communications coordinators Corrado Del Fanti and Sculati & Partners, Bill Dixon and his team at Dixon yacht design, Kelly Hoppen CBE and her team of interior designers, and last but by no means the least, our owners Tony and Margaret Whitaker, whom without their unfaltering support, belief and trust we would most certainly never have achieved any of this.”

PEARL YACHTS REVEALS A NEW 82-FOOT FLYBRIDGE PROJECT

January 2023

  • The Pearl 82 is an all-new 25-metre raised pilothouse yacht, featuring a main deck master suite with a total of five en-suite staterooms plus crew accommodations in addition to a garage large enough to accommodate a tender, jet ski and water toys.
  • The new model offers features entirely new to her size class, in keeping with the brand’s positioning as a boutique builder. These include being the only yacht in its class to offer a RPH design, a choice between two aft deck configurations and a semi-walkaround deck with a private forepeak terrace for the master suite.

While presenting the recently launched Pearl 72 at boot Düsseldorf for her European premiere, the British yachting builder held a press conference to announce its latest creation, the Pearl 82, which is already under construction with an anticipated launch in 2024. Pushing the boundaries of design, the new model offers many features of a superyacht in just 25 metres, with the integration of a main deck master suite among 5 staterooms, a raised pilot house and direct passageways connecting all the exterior areas from bow to stern, including a private terrace at the peak of the bow, which is also accessible from the master suite and from the flybridge with a dedicated opening to port amidship.

Additionally, the Pearl 82 may be outfitted with either of two aft deck arrangements – Riviera or Veranda – to further match different owners’ lifestyles right on the sea. The Riviera layout places aft facing sun pads behind the table and sofa setup, out under the sun, while the Veranda layout offers versatility with the possibility to pivot the seating between picnic and private patio orientations, always keeping the sea in sight. And regardless of the owner’s choice, the bulwarks can fold down like wings, expanding and opening the cockpit to the environment. A cleverly hidden garage offers a surprising space for a William 345 tender (or similar) a jet ski and plenty of water toys.

At the event, Pearl Yachts Managing Director Iain Smallridge stated, “We are extremely proud to be announcing our third new project in recent years, and it is a particularly optimistic occasion because the first two models, the Pearl 62 and Pearl 72, have been so well received. The Pearl 82 applies our core principles of designing yachts that offer our customers more whilst maintaining style and sophistication. She is the most compact superyacht on the market, offering numerous features previously not available in its sector of the market.”

Pushing the Boundaries of Design

About his work on the Pearl 82, Exterior Designer Bill Dixon said, “As with every Pearl design, the challenge is to pursue a class leading, feature led design. The design had to retain the defining features of a Pearl, while balancing a sporty profile with large interior volumes and extensive hull, superstructure and roof glazing. Without a doubt, the Pearl 82 is a stand-out design in the 80-foot market.”

Superior Connection

The Pearl 82 is exceptionally well connected, affording her owner direct access to a private terrace at the forepeak. From there, the foredeck lounge is just a few steps up, beckoning to guests with ample sunbathing and lounging around a cocktail table. In addition to the typical stair down to the main deck, the bow area is also connected to the flybridge, which features a full-sized dining table, a multi-functional wet bar opposite, and, aft, a sun pad and hot tub combo; free standing furniture can also be specified. Guests are therefore able to move directly between the outdoor spaces, constituting the first semi walkaround deck in the size class. All the outdoor areas can be protected by a foredeck Bimini, electric shades and the variable hard top, which has 3 settings: full shade, adjustable louvres, and full sun.

Glass House

The saloon on the Pearl 82 dazzles guests with floor-to-ceiling windows, which maximize the feeling of space and flood light into the lounge area. Together with the cut-outs in the bulwarks, it creates a remarkable sense of contact with the environment. There is a dining arrangement for 10 guests ahead of the room’s focal point, an eye-catching bar. The galley is accessed to port and the master suite entry is located on the starboard side. Engine room access, galley access and foredeck access are all positioned on the port side of the yacht, ensuring privacy for guests and crew.

Ascendant Accommodation

The main deck master suite is preceded by a spectacular entrance with panoramic views, a feature that was so popular on the Pearl 95 that the brand pushed to incorporate it into the Pearl 82, this time with the added benefit of direct access to a forepeak terrace. A king-sized bed looks ahead out the front facing glass, flanked by furnishings for seating and storage, a walk-in wardrobe plus a luxury  en-suite.

Below deck are four further en-suite guest staterooms, two twins and two doubles, all as beautifully appointed as the master suite on the main deck, and all insulated from the engine room by the crew cabins.

Form Follows Feeling

Renowned British design house Kelly Hoppen Interiors has adapted the 3 exclusive Pearl Yachts styles, Indulgence, Luxury and Modern, to the new Pearl 82, complementing and accentuating the new model’s unique spaces. Kelly Hoppen CBE described her inspiration for the Pearl 82, explaining, “There’s that moment when you arrive on a yacht, when you anticipate how you are going to feel. What I wanted was a place that could be anywhere. It could be on land or at sea. It could be New York, it could be Paris, it could be London. It doesn’t matter, and you feel that you are just floating, which is exactly what you are. We’ve used beautiful materials, and the joinery and the detailing are absolutely intricate, but the feel of when you are on board is quite open plan, with these wonderfully enlarged windows, which make you feel that you are really out at sea, rather than being enclosed inside of a yacht.”

Pearlescent Performance

The Pearl 82 offers 3 choices for the propulsion with twin MAN V12 engines ranging from 1650hp to 2000hpRegardless of the selection, the refined naval architecture ensures a smooth, efficient cruise and easy handling. The most powerful engines can carry the yacht up to 33 knots, while the other two reach 32 and 28 knots respectively.

Five-year warranty

As with all Pearl Yachts, the Pearl 82 comes with a unique and comprehensive five-year warranty.

PEARL 95 SHORTLISTED FOR TWO INTERNATIONAL “BEST OF” AWARDS

December 2022

Pearl Yachts is delighted to have been nominated for two further awards by Boat International and Motor Boat & Yachting, two of the industry’s most authoritative publications. The British brand’s award-winning flagship Pearl 95 is on the short list for two further accolades, “Best Naval Architecture – Semi Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts” and “Custom Yachts” at the 2023 World Superyacht Awards and Motor Boat Awards, respectively.

British luxury motor yacht builder Pearl Yachts made the short list for the World Superyacht Awards and the Motor Boat Awards with the Pearl 95. Yachts are judged solely on their merit by the distinguished editorial teams at Boat International and Motor Boat & The Motor Boat Awards winners and runners up will be announced soon in January, while the World Superyacht Awards wait until May to announce their final results.

Smart at Scale

The flagship Pearl 95, just under 30 metres, boasts 5 guest ensuite cabins including a full beam owner’s cabin on the main deck, as well as an expansive beach club with fold-down buttresses. She has proven to be an award-winning combination of performance, style and quality, having previously taken the title of “Best Layout” at the World Yachts Trophies. The Pearl 95 went on to receive further recognition with the awards of “Best Interior Design – Power & Motor Yachts” and “Best Main Saloon” at the International Yacht and Aviation Awards.

Unified Design Achieves Beauty and Performance

The exterior design and naval architecture of the Pearl 95, like all Pearl Yachts, is the work of Dixon Yacht Design, an established and respected icon in the industry. Bill Dixon, the Chief Architect, modelled a fast yet efficient hull for the Pearl 95, with support from the most powerful traditional and digital tools. Lifestyle features and sophisticated interiors are little comfort without a solid foundation, so the design office pours attention into perfecting each Pearl’s seakeeping and handling to achieve a superior onboard experience for guests.

Managing Director of Pearl Yachts Iain Smallridge commented, “Award announcements are always exciting for Pearl. As a boutique yacht builder specialising in flybridges, every model we make has to offer something unique in the segment to stand out. Fortunately for us, the judges are just as appreciative of our design ethos as our customers. The double nomination of the Pearl 95 is a welcome confirmation of our brand’s direction, coming just between the premiere of the new Pearl 72 at FLIBS and the upcoming Pearl 82 project announcement at boot Dusseldorf.”

Pearl Yachts has reached an agreement with VP Yachts to represent the British brand in Hong Kong. This latest step in the expansion of Pearl’s dealer network sees a first dealership into Asia, in the legendary yachting city, Hong Kong.

Following the premiere of the Pearl 72 at FLIBS, Pearl Yachts has marked another important milestone with the announcement of a new partnership. PEARL YACHTS CELEBRATES PREMIERE OF NEW PEARL 72 AT FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW 2022

October 2022

Pearl Yachts presented the new Pearl 72 to the public for the first time at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, from the 26th to the 30th of October. The occasion was marked by a cheery rendezvous at the Pearl stand with business partners, friends and members of the press. Approximately a year after the announcement of the project at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2021, the Pearl 72’s offer to the market is still unique in her class with superb exterior design from Dixon Yacht Design and another spectacular interior from Kelly Hoppen CBE.

Compact, Complete, and Competitive

In terms of layout, the Pearl 72 makes a unique introduction to the size-class: two Master Cabins. Fold down balconies at water level also create a beach club for those who enjoy spending time on or close to the water.

British Design, Inside and Out

Award-winning naval architect Bill Dixon is behind the innovation and superb seakeeping that characterize Pearl Yachts, penning smart lines to sharpen each model’s streamlined exterior. And for the interiors, no other yacht builder works with the world-renowned designer Kelly Hoppen CBE. Her ever-evolving style, defined by a subtle fusion of clean lines and neutral tones, intuitively balanced with an opulent warmth, has been honored with numerous prestigious awards.

Now with Indulgence

The Pearl 72 carries another premiere on board: Kelly’s new “Indulgence” interior design theme. The design intent of this yacht is to capture New York City urban living on water, while enhancing and working with the incredible mechanical features that have been achieved. An array of materials including timber veneers, stone and contrasting metal detailing has been used and layered throughout to set up enchanting reflections and luxurious tones that fuse the ocean and interiors together.

Pearl’s Managing Director Iain Smallridge said, “I know I speak for each of us who has been involved in the Pearl 72 project when I say that it is an immensely satisfying moment to be relaxing under the Florida sun, surrounded by friends, with the finished product of all our efforts sparkling in front of us. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was the perfect setting for the premiere, and highlights the growing significance of our American market, where we now have a well-established sales network through our Partners Atlantic Yacht & Ship, the east coast dealer and Jeff Brown Yachts, the west coast dealer.”

PEARL CELEBRATED THE OPENING OF A NEW OFFICE IN SWANWICK, SOUTHAMPTON

June 2022

Pearl Yachts has come a long way, making particular progress in the past year. Increasing sales, new partnerships and increasing international presence have followed. But expansion abroad requires consolidation at home, so the British brand is redoubling its infrastructure in the UK, most recently with the opening of a new sales office in Swanwick. The occasion was celebrated on June 17th, amidst the British Motor Yacht Show that brought thousands to Pearl’s new backyard along with a Pearl 62 on display.

Established in 1994, Premier Marinas owns and operates the new Swanwick marina and other nine of the UK’s most prestigious marinas. With over 5,000 berths combined, Premier strives to be the finest marina operator in the UK, providing first-class boat storage services, quality boatyard facilities and exceptional service.

At the opening ceremony, Pearl Yachts Owner Margaret Whittaker OBE said: “There’s no better place to welcome friends old and new, and for the international Pearl family, this expansion means an enhanced base of support. I am delighted to see the Pearl brand develop and continue its impressive growth”.

MEET PAUL HANNAH, PRODUCTION DIRECTOR SINCE 1998

March 2022

How long have you been producing world class production yachts?
I have been involved in building luxury yachts for over 36 years and have been Production Director with Pearl yachts for more than 20 years.

In the early days of working for Pearl did you have any sense of what the future would hold?
I believe in making the future, with a good team, hard work and a belief in what we do, you need this belief, or you will not succeed in your goals.

Bill Dixon and Kelly Hoppen are demanding designers, always pushing the boundaries. Does that create challenges for you and your team?
Our design team are the best in the business and ensure that every Pearl model has unique selling points and maximises space, this makes production a challenge, but we are used to turning a concept into a reality, this is what I love about production, you are a part of something that has a part of you in it.

What are the production advantages of being an Atelier of yachting?
Producing a limited number of yachts every year guarantees that each one is afforded more care and attention than many of our mass-produced competitors. Our production team are multi skilled, we take the design concepts and manufacture most of the product under our own roof.  This gives us greater control and ensures higher quality.

Do you have a favourite Pearl model and of so why?
They are all my favourites! They are like children, you love them all, each one presents new challenges, but each has a place in your heart.

WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE OUR $50M ORDER BOOK AND THE OPENING OF NEW SALES OFFICE IN SWANWICK, SOUTHAMPTON

Feb. 2022

Since its founding, Pearl has firmly established and maintained a reputation as the Atelier of Yachting. The brand offers clients an exclusive experience and personal attention throughout the process, backed up by their industry-leading Five-Year Warranty.

The shipyard’s resolve has been tested by growing demand. As of now, 20 units of the new Pearl 62 have been sold along with six units of the new Pearl 72 ahead of its launch scheduled for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.

The worldwide yachting frenzy is compounding with Pearl’s edge in the Flybridge market and the unique offering of British design duo Kelly Hoppen CBE and Dixon Yacht Design. While Kelly’s studio keeps clients coming back by launching exciting new themes with every model, Bill Dixon’s team have the experience to develop seaworthy, elegant naval platforms that always manage to offer something extra, a breath of fresh air in a market.

The sales and service network is also expanding following the appointment of Jeff Brown Yachts in San Diego, with ongoing talks with new friends around the world. Fans of the brand in presently unserved regions likely don’t have long to wait.

At the same time, Pearl is building up the internal structure to better support the network, with a flurry of new appointments to key team positions coming just ahead of the new Swanwick sales office opening in April.

On the topic, Managing Director Iain Smallridge remarked, “Last year wasn’t without its challenges, one might think Pearl is just riding the wave of renewed interest in yachting, but it’s really been a balancing act. We wanted to take maximum advantage of the momentum, without letting that wave wash away. That’s why we’ve channelled the success of this year to improve all aspects of our business. Expanding the network and bringing in new talent is paramount, especially as we prepare to launch several new models over the next three years. As with the Pearl 62 and the 72, each design is going to bring something new to that sector of the market. We can barely wait to share them with our clients, stakeholders and friends.”

PEARL YACHTS APPOINT US WEST COAST DEALER

Nov. 2021

As Pearl Yachts prepares for the close of its most successful year to date, the brand is consolidating record growth, particularly in the Americas, with the signing of a second regional dealer. Jeff Brown Yachts, with offices and marinas in San Diego, Newport Beach, Sausalito and Seattle, will represent Pearl Yachts throughout the Western United States, Mexico, and Canada.

British luxury motoryacht builder Pearl Yachts continues its rapid growth and dealer development programme by appointing a second US dealer. Following its great success on the East coast with Atlantic Yacht & Ship Co Pearl has appointed Jeff Brown Yachts, expanding the dealer network to the Pacific, from Canada to Mexico.

“This year’s Fort Lauderdale boat show held special significance.” says Pearl Yachts Managing Director Iain Smallridge. “Reuniting with our friends at AYS is always a joy and getting to know the team at Jeff Brown Yachts was a pleasure. We also confirmed a record number of sales”.

For nearly 30 years, Jeff Brown has distinguished himself in the marine industry as one of the most professional dealers on the West Coast. At the signing event, Jeff commented: “Thanks to Iain and all the team at Pearl for hosting us at the show in Fort Lauderdale. We started this partnership the right way: all together with the Pearl 62, the Pearl 80, and the flagship Pearl 95, getting in some training and giving an energetic kick-off to our journey with Pearl Yachts. This move is particularly important to Pearl’s presence in the Americas, because now we can tell clients that there is a highly professional coast-to-coast aftersales network in place. Adding that advantage to the list, we are looking forward to making our first presentations to clients.”

THE NEW PEARL 72 DESIGN HAS BEEN REVEALED

Sep. 2021

Pearl Yachts Managing Director Iain Smallridge officially revealed Pearl 72 project during a press conference at the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival. The model features the latest edition of Bill Dixon’s coordinated exterior design and naval architecture, as well as the celebrated new interior design theme “Indulgence” by Kelly Hoppen CBE. In terms of layout, the Pearl 72 adds a unique introduction to the size-class: two Master Cabins. One is forward with a private entrance, as typically seen on much larger yachts, and the second is full beam amidships. There are two more en-suite double cabins plus accommodation for the crew, in addition to an exceptional garage, with space for a William 345 tender (or similar) and a jet ski.

About the 22-metre Pearl 72 with a 5.7-metre beam, Exterior Designer Bill Dixon said, “Every element of the 72’s design follows from the core identity that she is a Pearl. But with this new yacht, we have evolved to a higher level. The hull glass has been expanded for a more modern look, combined with the sporty stance which she inherited from the recent Pearl 62 – a marker of the new generation. The lines are as elegant as ever, now a bit sleeker and more streamlined, and the use of spheric glass gives her curves in all the right places. As for the layout, we were as shrewd as ever to use the available space to our maximum advantage. The flybridge is full length to accommodate unexpected amenities and leave plenty of space for the owner’s choice of layout.”

Kelly Hoppen Interiors has continued to refine the design of Pearl Yachts, taking the world-famous look one step further and introducing a new interior theme – “Indulgence”. The design concept for the Pearl 72 was to create a sleek modern interior with smooth lines and overlapping textures which embodies Kelly’s signature style. The design intent of this yacht was to capture New York City urban living on water while enhancing and working with the incredible mechanical features that have been achieved. An array of materials including incredible timber veneers, onyx marbles and contrasting metal detailing has been used throughout and layered together to create wonderful reflections and luxurious tones, fusing the ocean and interiors together to create an earthly and sensory experience.

MBY AWARDS TRIUMPH

Jan. 2021

Motor Boat & Yachting magazine placed the Pearl 62 on the top of the line for Flybridges Over 50ft, the largest division at the Motor Boat Awards. The editor, Hugo Andreae, complimented the efficient use of space, maximized luxury, and unbeatable price of the series. Every year, the best boat to buy for each category of customer is highlighted in this highly anticipated event. The Virtual Ceremony helped to hold the community of shipbuilders and surrounding media and customers together through this difficult period, which has tested all of us. Like the award-winning yacht, we all need solid “seakeeping” to persevere.

The Pearl 62, measuring 18.61 metres with a beam of 5.3 metres, is the only yacht in this size class to offer a full beam owner’s suite with a private entrance, accommodation for eight guests across four cabins, and the choice of a jet ski garage or crew cabin. The inclusion of Volvo IPS propulsion means that the Pearl 62 has a fuel efficient, smooth, low vibration ride and easy handling with top speeds of up to 32 knots and a cruising range of over 250 nautical miles.

Amazing Awards

Dec. 2020
Our spectacular big-volume Pearl 62 has been nominated for two prestigious industry awards, the results of which will be announced shortly.

Firstly, the 62 is one of five brand new yachts nominated for a 2021 European Powerboat of the Year Award in the ‘Up to 20m’ category. With the results announced every January, normally at a gala held on the first evening of the annual Boot Dusseldorf show, but this year virtually, these prestigious annual awards are presented by eight of the continent’s most prominent boating media titles – namely Boote (Germany), Boatmag. it (Italy), Batmagasinet (Norway), Marina. ch (Switzerland, Motorboat (The Netherlands), Nautica y Yates (Spain), Neptune (France) and Yachtrevue (Austria) – each of which contributes senior members of its editorial teams for the rigorous judging sessions.

Secondly the Pearl 62 is a finalist in the ‘Flybridges Over 50ft’ category of the equally revered Motor Boat Awards 2021, which are judged by the editorial team at UK monthly magazine Motor Boat & Yachting. Please wish us luck with both of those!

Moreover, our flagship Pearl 95 and the Pearl 62 have both won important categories at the Oceanway Virtual Boat Show in Hong Kong and we are especially thrilled to hear that the Pearl 95 was named ‘Most Popular Superyacht from 24-40m’ category. Plus, back in September, the Pearl 62 won ‘Best Layout’ in the ‘45-65ft’ category of the 2020 World Yachts Trophies.

What are your top tips for cruising in and around Mallorca?

Mallorca is a truly fabulous island and being able to engage with it from the sea is a real privilege. Our crystal-clear waters are literally every shade of blue, from lightest, brightest turquoises of the shoals to the rich depths of midnight. We have pristine beaches, many of them secluded, and dizzying cliffs, all with stunning backdrops, from dark forests to the rocky splendour of the Sierra de Tramontana, the mountainous spine than stretches between the island’s south-west and north-east corners. Super anchorages provide the very best waters for diving, swimming or simply boat watching, some with fantastic cafes and restaurants just a tender-ride away. The neighbouring Balearic islands of Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera can be reached in around four hours at a fast-cruise. Nearer still is Cabrera, the largest tiny island in a small archipelago of outstanding natural beauty that lies just to the south of Mallorca and only just over an hour’s fast-cruise from the exclusive berths of Puerto de Palma, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano.
